Dit project, gedragen door de gemeenschap van Lievegem, kon geen nee zeggen tegen het genereuze aanbod van The Dots Atelier om dit werk hier, vlak in het hart van deelgemeente Zomergem tentoon te stellen.
Wat zegt de kunstenaar over dit werk?
“Community” explores the quiet harmony found in nature’s repetition and difference. The print was created using real leaves, inked and pressed to capture their intricate veins and textures. The overlapping circular shapes suggest connection and interdependence—each distinct, yet part of a greater whole.
The soft coral background and vivid green impressions evoke both contrast and balance, reflecting how individual energies coexist within a shared environment. The work is part of an ongoing exploration of natural forms and handmade processes, celebrating the simplicity and tactile beauty of printmaking as a form of slow observation and care.
